Plymouth Guildhall

Plymouth Guildhall, built in 1875 in the fashionable Gothic style - although this is more visible on the western side.

The guildhall was gutted during the air raids of 1941 and almost demolished in the 1950s. However, it wasn't and was rebuilt with several changes, including the main entrance.

It was reopened in 1959 by Field Marshall Viscount Montgomery
