Challaborough beach
Located just around the corner from Bigbury-On-Sea, Challaborough beach is a relatively sheltered crescent of sand ideal for families. As the tide goes out it reveals plenty of rock pools and masses of space for kids to run around on.
As a Blue Flag beach Challaborough has all the facilities you would expect including a shop, cafe, toilets and a seasonal lifeguard service. The water quality is also very good.
Challaborough is suitable for a range of water sports depending on conditions. Outside of the summer months there can be good waves here and it is a popular surf spot.
The car park at Challaborough itself is a little on the small side so during the summer it may be necessary to park at neighbouring Bigbury-On-Sea and make the 10 minute walk along the coast path.
